Visiting Hours
Your visitors are an important part of your hospital stay. They are welcome to visit with you, but they should remember that too many visitors or long visits are tiring to the patient. Please ask your family and friends to observe our visiting guidelines:
- General visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Admission
Whether for a few hours or a few days, a hospital stay is
often an anxious time. At Madison County Medical Center, we
understand your concerns and will do everything possible to
assure you a comfortable stay. Your physician will make preliminary
arrangements for your admission, testing or outpatient treatment.
Unless, of course, it's an emergency in which case you will
be treated immediately. During admission you will meet with
one of our friendly patient registration representatives to
complete the medical and legal forms required for all patients.
Cafeteria
Hours
The cafeteria is located on the first floor of the hospital
- Cafeteria Hours:
Monday through Sunday
Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Guest meal trays can be delivered to the patient rooms
for all three meals. These trays consist of the same
menu as the regular patient tray and must be paid for
in the cafeteria prior to the meal being delivered.

Vending machines are located outside the cafeteria in the
medical center and are available 24 hours a day. Soft
drink machines are located in the waiting areas.

Visitor parking lots are located in the closest proximity
to the building for your convenience. Security officers make
frequent rounds inside and outside the building and are available
to assist you as needed.

In the interest of your health and to meet other regulatory
guidelines, Madison County Medical Center is a smoke-free
facility. Smoking is not permitted inside the building or
near any entrance or exit to the building. Designated smoking

found department. If you lose something while you are a patient
or leave an item behind after discharge, the Security Office
will notify you. You may also call (601)
